Replayowl is open source session replay. It records what visitors do on your site and plays it back the way they saw it, including hover menus, Shadow DOM and CSS-in-JS. Sessions are merged across page loads, console errors and exceptions sit on the timeline next to the clicks that caused them, and you can search by your own user ID, page, device, errors or rage clicks. Text inputs are masked in the visitor's browser, so the original text never reaches the server. The recorder is 7.8 KB gzipped with no runtime dependencies. Use the hosted service with 1,000 free sessions a month, or self-host the same AGPL-3.0 code for free as one Cloudflare Worker or one Node process, with recordings in any S3-compatible bucket and session data in D1 or Postgres. It does replay only: no heatmaps or funnels.
